Exporting data
Use the Export panel to download live tracked event rows for a site. Check the format and the available retention window before downloading.
Open Export
Select your site, then open Site settings → General → Export. This panel downloads the full available retention window for that site; it has no date picker. The window depends on your plan and any shorter site retention setting. Select the correct site before downloading.
Choose a format
Choose CSV and select Download. CSV is available on all plans. JSON is available on Growth and Business; on Starter, the JSON option shows an upgrade prompt. The panel starts with CSV selected. You do not need to select a date range here.
Understand the file
CSV and JSON downloads contain tracked event rows within your available retention window. Historical data imported from Plausible or Fathom may appear in your dashboard, but it is not included in these downloads. If your site has only imported data, the download may contain no event rows. A CSV with no event rows still includes its header; JSON is an empty array.
The monthly event quota counts billable events across all sites in your account and resets by UTC calendar month, not on a Stripe billing anniversary or a local calendar boundary. Stored page_exit events do not consume that quota.
If the download fails
Keep the Export panel open to read its inline status. A 403 may mean the selected format is unavailable on your plan; check the JSON plan gate. A 429 means the export is rate limited; wait for the indicated retry period before trying again. A network or other download error is shown as a failure, so retry after checking your connection. A completed download is the confirmation that you have a file; do not assume an interrupted request produced one.
